For sure, you could spend a week in D. C. to visit all this wonderful museum. Notwithstanding, my two accompanist did not wanted to stay.
In the morning we stopped at the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington Graveyard, where Kennedy and 250,000 soldiers are buried. The soldiers were standing in line even after their death. Visible through small white grave stones, perfectly lined up at a perfectly cut green lawn.
On the way to Lancaster where the Amish are located, we stopped at Mc Donalds to enjoy the american culture of huge and greasy burgers.
The Amish people are still living a live like 100 years ago, without energy, what seems to be for a tourist very nostalgic.
Moreover, the countryside around Lancaster is calm and lovely. It really looks like what Europeans expect about the US.
We managed to see Warsaw, Jerusalem, Damascus on one day. Columbia, Lima, Delphi was also not that far away. Warsaw excists at least six more times in the US. Moreover, ssome towns have very funny names. For example is the paradise less than eight hours from Chicago away.
