Today all Circus Harmony children and trainers went to the Family Arena to see the Moolah Shriners Circus. Although some of the artists were pretty good, I had the impression that neither the act nor the costumes had changed for the last 30 years. The most interesting part of the circus were the Shriners. These are actually mason who mastered the 30 levels of the masons’ hierarchy. They wore Turkish looking hats and drove with a lot of noise on their small, cute and ridiculous looking cars through the arena. I still did not really know, what I should think about the Shriners or who they really are. The closest description, which I can deliver would be an academic rocker club for people, who love Mardi Gras.
